Propeller flange removed. There were a slew of bolts holding that thing on.

Gearbox-disassembly3.jpg

Removing bolts that hold case halves together.

Gearbox-disassembly4.jpg

Turn it over, remove the mounting flange, and stuff some cavities to keep trash out while gearbox is open.

Gearbox-disassembly5.jpg

Turn it back over to split the case halves.

Gearbox-disassembly6.jpg

This was a special bolt inserted in a threaded hole to provide the pull force necessary to split the case halves.

Gearbox-disassembly7.jpg

Looked like this. Case splitting was finished with gentle persuasion of a pry bar.

Gearbox-disassembly9.jpg

Gear box opened up.

I think this was the shaft after rev4 parts swapped.

Gearbox-disassembly11.jpg

Re-assembly begins.

Gearbox-disassembly12.jpg

Prior to closing the case.

Brush-holder-bracket.jpg

Brush holder bracket mounted on pad already drilled for AN3 bolts. (Note: brush holder is incorrectly mounted backwards and will need to be turned over so electrical tabs face away from prop.)

Brush-holder-bracket2.jpg

Brush holder mounted to brush holder bracket. Note the oversize washers between bracket and brush holder. For some reason the brush holder bolt holes are countersunk and the larger washer was required to make room for the countersink.
